Color Garden

The Color Garden demonstrates the many shades of one single color that can be seen in nature. By understanding and exploring shades, gardeners can bring unity, harmony and repetition to their landscapes.

Flowers use color to attract pollinating insects, birds, and bats. The colors in the petals are made in the sap of the plant, which produces a specifically colored pigment. For example, one can forget that pink is a shade of bright red with many other shades in between.

As the seasons change, so do the color combinations used in this garden. Return each season to enjoy the new colors.
