Scarecrow Festival: October 6-24, 2026 - FREE ADMISSION!
Tuesdays - Saturdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Last entry @ 4:30 p.m.)
Enjoy the changing season at the 16th Annual Scarecrow Festival, featuring dozens of unique scarecrow designs, fall flowering displays, thousands of pumpkins and autumn decorations displayed throughout the gardens. See what the talented members of the community can create with repurposed and recycled materials, as well as a heap of imagination. Scarecrow exhibits are always innovative, inspiring and kind to their world! Visitors may also vote for their favorite scarecrow exhibit. The winners will be announced at Autumn Fair.
Sip and Stroll: Thursday, October 15, 2026 - 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. (last entry 7:30)
Sip and Stroll offers a relaxing, after-hours evening in the gardens. Come enjoy seasonal garden views, a variety of beverages and snacks from Free State Cellars (pre-order link to be provided soon) and live music from Pendulum Hearts.
With free admission, this relaxed, after-hours atmosphere is the perfect way to unwind and connect with others in a peaceful, natural setting.
Sip and Stroll tickets will become available on September 28.
Autumn Fair: Saturday, October 24, 2026 - 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Autumn Fair is a family event to celebrate the season and all that is associated with it. It is the grand finale of the Scarecrow Festival, the last day that the scarecrows are on display. This is also the day that the winners of the Scarecrow voting are announced in the afternoon.
The day begins at 10:30 a.m. with multiple opportunities for hands-on activities. Guests will have the opportunity to participate in a scavenger hunt, tackle our Shangri La Gardens obstacle course, decorate pumpkins, enjoy a hayride, investigate some of the critters that call Shangri La Gardens home, cruise Adam’s Bayou on a pontoon boat ride, and much more!
Autumn Fair activities end at 3:00 p.m. Any pumpkins left after 3 p.m. are up for grabs!
Visitors are welcome to enjoy the gardens until 5:00 p.m. (last entry 4:30 p.m.)
