Campers will immerse themselves in the wonders of nature as we eagerly seek out and befriend these charming creatures up close!

Immerse yourself in the beauty of diverse flora and fauna as we discover the details of the vibrant flowers and plants adorning every corner. Delve into the fascinating world of the birds that call this sanctuary home, and let go of any fears as we come to appreciate the vital role insects play in our ecosystem. Embark on a tranquil boat ride to uncover the secrets of aquatic life and embark on a thrilling quest to spot signs of land animals. We hope you’ll depart camp with a newfound appreciation for the treasure that is Shangri La.

Calling all young adventurers to spread their wings and soar into a world of feathered friends. From colorful songbirds to majestic raptors, our campers will chirp, tweet, and flap their way through exciting activities designed to foster a love for birds and nature. Join us for birdwatching hikes, bird-themed crafts, a boat ride, and more! Led by bird enthusiasts, this camp is sure to ignite curiosity and appreciation for our avian companions. Enroll your birdwatcher today and let their imaginations take flight!

Our adventure will take us on hikes through the wilderness of Shangri La as we search for evidence of Bigfoot’s existence. Along the way, we’ll hear reports from characters in a skit and even create our own news reports based on any sightings we may encounter. Additionally, we’ll learn valuable survival skills such as shelter-building, camouflage techniques, trapping using natural materials, and campfire building – all skills that Bigfoot might employ to survive in the wild.

This camp is currently FULL. To be placed on our waitlist, please contact Wendy at welliott@shangrilagardens.org.
