Flutter into spring with our annual Friends of Shangri La Gardens Butterfly Release. Held during our April 23rd Sip and Stroll event, guests are invited to experience their own "ah ha" moment as they skip the crowds to release their own Painted Lady butterfly into the tranquil surroundings of Shangri La Botanical Gardens.

Each butterfly purchased represents a donation towards our onsite year-round educational programming. These initiatives build lifelong connections to the natural world with opportunities for learning, discovery and hands-on exploration. Join us for an unforgettable experience that's both beautiful and impactful.

This is an after-hours event, providing a unique opportunity to experience the gardens in a different light. Bring your camera to capture the magical moments. All ages are welcome to participate; however, the Sip and Stroll event is designed for adults.

Butterfly Pickup: 5:30-6:30 p.m.

To be kind to our Garden and provide a relaxing experience for guests, we are now incorporating online reservations for Sip and Stroll events.

Visitors are welcome to bring a blanket to sit on while they enjoy their beverages and picnics. A limited number of tables and chairs will be available onsite.
