Exhibit Hall

Adjacent to the Exhibit Hall is the Mediation Pavillion. The Meditation Pavilion features the quote “Drink in the beauty and wonder at the meaning of what you see” by Rachel Carson.  Carson wrote the book Silent Spring which was instrumental in launching the modern environmental movement and, more specifically, brought a stop to the use of toxic chemicals, in particular DDT, that were harming wildlife.

The soothing, bubbling fountain in the center of the Meditation Pavilion is made of petrified wood collected by H.J. Lutcher Stark and was found in Newton County.
